Mark Your Swimmers Arm
Marking your swimmer’s arm for a swim meet is one of this important things you need to do prior to warm ups at the swim meet.
Sometimes it is not possible to do until you are at the meet as some meets sell the heat sheets at the meet so you won’t know until you get there.
Determine your child's events
Refer to the Heat Sheet as provided prior to the meet start. Locate the following from the heat sheet for your child in all events they are participating.
- Event
- Heat
- Lane
- Swim Length and Type

Mark the events on your child's arm:
Many seasoned parents just use a black sharpie and draw the table on a swimmer's arm. Another option is to purchase temporary tattoo's that allow you to write with a black sharpie marker.
The table should contain a column for E (Event), H (Heat), L (Lane, and Swim Type. The table should also contain rows for each swim your child is participating in.
